Hello everyone!
So I've been busy in the last few weeks, I'm still working on my flour sack animation when I have the time adding in more elements. I'll update with that later. Right now I've got a link to my group's kickstarter page!
We would really like to make a pilot for an animated television show, we've been working very hard for the last year in development, all we need now is support.
Please check it out!

Flour Sack Jump (rough animation)
One of the practices many animators use is animating a flour sack. First off its the basic shape of a two legged creature, you can use it to practice animating weight and putting personality into a character. There are many actions you can make your flour sack do, like walking, pushing a heavy object, acting, jumping and ect.
I decided to do a jump first. That way I can practice timing, squash and stretch, and weight. Here is the rough animation so far:
I'm going to add in more frames to smooth it out. After finishing the animation I'm going to color the flour sack and possibly add in a little background, perhaps a kitchen.
I can't wait to do more flour sack animations.

Animation Test
Ok, so I did an animation test for "The Network", I had to do a lip sync and design two characters based on some images they gave me. Even though I didn't get the job I'm really proud of how it turned out in the end, so I'm putting it up here. (I don't own any of the images the characters are based on, or the audio file. Its just here to display my hard work)

Bowling Ball Bounce
I've been getting back to relearning the basics of animation. I've done the bouncing ball exercise a few times so I decided to do it again, but with different weights. This one is a bowling ball. I noticed that the arch changes a lot from say a golf ball. After it makes contact with the ground it bounces high up, the rest of the bounces have really small archs. The archs are also more narrow than I'm used to.
Even though bowling balls are flexible at all I did a version with squash and stretch to see how it would look with the timing.
I'll keep working on different ball weights.
The next project I want to work on is the flour sack exercise. I never got to do it while in school, so I want to do it now.

Illustrator Practice Leaf 1
So I've been exploring illustrator a little more and trying to learn more features. I've been practicing new skills on a simple project. I went out found a leaf and scanned it in on the computer:
I took in it into illustrator and played around with a few things for a while. After a little while I had this:
In this one I created my own brush, played around with layer modes and made a new gradient.
I'll keep exploring around and posting what I make with it.

Samantha Brick Caricature
Yesterday I was browsing the internet when I stumbled upon an article written by a person named Samantha Brick. In it she details on how its hard being as beautiful since men give her free stuff and women are often jealous of her. Truth be told, she's actually kind of average, but her attitude makes her really ugly. I was inspired to draw a sketch of her. After looking at it was immediately wanted to color it.
For reference here's a picture of her:
And here's my caricature of her:
Doing this was actually a lot of fun, if not a bit mean.

Knight Sprite
I'm still working on the video game project. Today I wanted to create a test sprite for the generic enemies, they will be knights. We chose them because we can reuse them with different colors and maybe different weapons. It took me a little to get the body the way I wanted, but I really like the way it looks so far. I'll post a print screen picture because the sprite itself is really tiny.
